The Amazing Planner!
On December 1st, 2023, I gave birth to our cutest first child and daughter, Grace Catherine, and it has been an incredible whirlwind so far, but at the same time, it’s completely new adventure that takes time to adjust to. Your schedule constantly changes as your baby grows and changes, and once you do have somewhat of a schedule, it changes up on you again. Because of this it’s hard to keep up with all the things you have to do, such as keeping up with the apartment or house and cooking dinner as examples. I was getting overwhelmed, and I wasn’t keeping up with the everyday things super well.
As if she knew, my amazing mom ordered me a planner as a gift, and it wasn’t just any planner. Each week, the planner has a list of everyday basic chores to get done plus 1 bigger project to get done that week, and you get to cross or check off each thing once you complete it. It has helped me tremendously as I don’t get overwhelmed nearly as often since it gives me a place to start with my day! It’s the 2024 Home Planner created by Passionate Penny Pincher, and I highly recommend it! It keeps my head screwed on straight, and I am so thankful for it. I can’t tell you how many different planners I have used throughout the years, even before Grace came into the world.
Right now, I am still on maternity leave, so these few months have been great for preparing myself for the day I start work again in March. Having structure already in place will help immensely when I add work into the picture again.
Not only that, this year the planner is going through the New Testament of the Bible, so each day, it has us read a chapter a day. This has also been wonderful as I will admit my spiritual life had been more on the backburner which is not ideal of course. I have been wanting to put that more on the forefront of my days. I know that by growing stronger in my spiritual life, my overall life will improve immensely too. I am super thankful… especially to my amazing mom who got the planner for me.
